Saturday 18 August - Easy Day At Sharons

18 August at Sharons

Today we slept in and spent our morning playing with Izzy, Molly and Archie. We then went to see Sharon's Mum who lives on a small farm not far from Sharon. Mum had not seen Morag (Sharon's mum) sine we arrived so there were lots of hugs and kisses. Morag and Philip have a lot of animals on their farm like some horses, chickens, ducks and some other fowls. We found an egg that had been laid in the horses stable. They also have dogs as well including Zac who loved Elodie and wouldn't leave her alone until she played ball with him.

We fed the horses some carrots and went for a walk over the steep embankment on the other side of the garden. It was really fun. We also picked berries and smelt the mint leaves. We had a ride in the tyre swing too.

We saw some Highland Cattle, big shaggy cows like buffalo.

We headed back to Sharon's for lunch and then went to a dance class with Izzy and Molly. We had so much fun! We did two classes, Theatre Club and then Performance. In Theater we danced to Summer Holiday and Wizard of Oz. Izzy did a solo to Somewhere Over the Rainbow and we did heaps of other songs too! Then we went to Performance. We did a mix of Mary Poppins songs. We had so much fun. Holly stayed at home to play with Archie while Elodie and Erin went to dancing and Mum and Sharon went shopping. Mum just had to go to 'Next' (a shop like DJs) she said. It's her favourite shop.

After dancing we went to Mum's friend Jane and her husband Dave's for a BBQ. We took Pavlova and Chinese Chews which are the best things on earth!!!!!

Elodie tried swordfish and she absolutely loved it! We had a fun night! We got to play with lots of kids because as well as Izzy, Molly and Archie there was also Eleanor, Madeline, their cousin Emily and some of the friends from the street. We played in the backyard including in their two storey cubby house and on the trampoline, until it was time to go home. We saw a beautiful sunset at Jane's. Jane lives very close to the Angel of the North a big statue in Newcastle.

More news soon,

Elodie, Holly and Erin. :)

  1. a nice lazy day indeed - I don't think so - you sound as busy as bees ! Morag and Phillips farm is fabulous - I love it there - but I didn't see your Auntie Sharon down near the horses !!! Zac loves to play ball, and I can imagine him hassling Elodie until she gave in and played ball! Then to Janes house - and what a lot of kids there were there....did you remember all their names? ..and what on earth are Chinese chews, do tell???? Could you get some through Australian customs, or will you be on the TV on Border Control?? hahaha !
