Elodie, Holly & Erin - lost in Paris!!

7th July, one month ago we were on the plane to Milan!!

Cool and a little rainy. Today we had a sleep-in. We woke up at around 8.00am and had breakfast. We had coco pops, yoghurt and Nutella toast. Then we got dressed and headed off to the Metro station. After we worked out what zone we were in, we went to go and catch our train. We were heading for the Eiffel Tower to register for the Paris Triathlon for Dad so we got off three stops later.

We went straight to the place where Dad had to register and left Dad to register whilst we went and got a glacé. A glacé is pretty much a soft serve that you get from McDonalds but you can get half chocolate and half vanilla or half chocolate and the rest strawberry or pistachio. We went back to Dad to see how he was going then went to find shelter as it was bucketing down rain!!! Not much different to Sydney! Anyway, we found a bridge to keep us dry until the rain died down.

We found Dad and then went to the place where they gave you your souvenir shirts and freebies!! Dad waited in line for what he said was half an hour while Mum, Elodie, Holly and Erin went to find shelter as it was raining again! We found shelter under a beautiful old tree in a park, it was good! We had a croissant and then went back to Dad who was still in the queue. Elodie went in with Dad. Elodie said that the place was packed not only with people but with lots of freebies!! Elodie and Dad went in with nothing but a backpack and came out with a whole bag full of stuff! Elodie even came out with a packet of lollies!!

We went to the Champs Elysees, a famous street full of shops and found heaps of stores like Mercedes Benz, Peugeot, Benetton, Louis Vuitton and Guess. We had a look in Mercedes Benz, Peugeot and Benetton and this other place that we can't remember the name of and Erin used her bday money to get some clothes. We went straight back to the Metro to go home because it was still a little rainy. We got on the Metro and went home. Then we got off at The Louvre Carrousel which is a shopping mall. We had a really quick look around and then went home. We watched some of the Tour de France, go Cadel!!!! Then Dad went to take his bike to the transition area for his triathlon. Then we wrote this blog post, then Mum started making Spaghetti Bolognese and then the future started!!😃😃

From Elodie, Holly and Erin 😃😃

A visit to the Peugeot gallery was specifically for Mr David Oliver!!
